Altimetis Speaks at Commercial UAV Expo 2026
Altimetis was out in force at Commercial UAV Expo 2026, held September 1–3 at Caesars Forum in Las Vegas — Bri O’Neill, Tyler Payne, and Ania Burgess all attended, and two of them took the stage. Founder and Principal Engineer Bri O’Neill presented in “Building Drone Programs That Hold Up in the Real World of Energy and Utilities,” walking through why UAS deployments so often stall in utility cybersecurity reviews — and how to frame security as a systems integration problem rather than a checklist. Staff Systems Engineer Ania Burgess presented in “Before You Scale: The Operational, Technical, and Strategic Realities of Building a Drone Program,” making the case that utility drone-in-a-box site selection is a systems engineering decision, not a real estate one. Both talks reflect how we work with clients: get the architecture and the requirements right early, and the program scales.

Founder Bri O’Neill attended AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2026 at Huntington Place in Detroit, May 11–14 — the industry’s largest gathering for uncrewed systems, drawing more than 8,500 professionals across defense, public safety, energy, infrastructure, and logistics.
